The Dorcas Society

The Dorcas Society is a woman's group that typically does outreach, frequently working and promoting an established theme.

They took the name "Dorcas" from the Bible.

In The Acts, Chapter 9, Verses 36-42, Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas, was a woman full of good works.

This information on the Dorcas Society is based on Town and State Vital Records, United States Census Rolls, and other information commonly available and is believed to be accurate.  Please forward any questions about this information to the webmaster.
