Starksboro, Vermont
Starksboro, Vermont is located in the northeast corner of Addison
County, and borders Chittenden County to the north. Starksboro,
originally spelt Starksborough, was chartered November 9, 1780.
Starksboro was named for General John Stark, who led the New Hampshire
Militia in the Battle of Bennington. Chapter 1959 in Bertha's Book is about Gen. John Stark's petition for a grant of the township of Starksboro, Vermont.
