ANNUAL HAM DINNER IN STARKSBORO

Starksboro, Vt.—The annual ham dinner of the Starksboro Village Meeting House Society will be held on Saturday, October 3, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Robinson Elementary School multi-purpose room on VT Route 116 in Starksboro village. On the menu are ham, mashed potatoes, winter squash, baked beans, cole slaw, rolls, a wide variety of homemade pies, and beverages. All vegetables are grown locally. Tickets for this yearly favorite event, which has been held for at least four decades, are $9.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 12 and under.

The Meeting House will be selling raffle tickets for fun prizes, including a year family membership to Shelburne Farms. Also on sale are Starksboro woven coverlets, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and Bertha's Book, the town history. Proceeds from the ham dinner and raffle benefit the Meeting House Restoration Fund. The next projects are rebuilding the top story of the belfry and finishing restoration of the sanctuary.
