Hall of Fame

 

The Meeting House has enjoyed the support and dedication of many people over the years.

The Hall of Fame is a listing of individuals who, through their dedication and generous support over the years, have made significant contributions in time and effort for the preservation of the Meeting House.

"Hall of Fame" Members

Ruth Hanson Ruth along with her husband Amos Hanson spearheaded the preservation efforts of the Meeting House in the late 1950's.
Olive Hanson Olive, the sister-in-law of Ruth Hanson was active with fundraising efforts from the start.  Her cider doughnuts were a big draw at the Sugar on Snow Parties for many years.
Bertha Hanson Bertha, the daughter-in-law of Olive Hanson, became active with the preservation of the Meeting House through her love of local history.  Bertha served on the Board of Directors after it was formed for many years.
Gale Mason Gale became very active in the Meeting House when it became a community building in the late 1950's.
Pebble Brooks Pebble became active with the Meeting House in the 1970's, helping to establish the Board of Directors, the Starksboro Village Meeting House Cooperative Preschool, as well as grant writing needed for establishing the preschool and building restorations.
